Filezilla FTP – Connection Timeout Error

This quick guide will take you through the steps of potentially resolving a timeout error in Filezilla.  

Step 1 - Open FileZilla client

Step 2 - Click on Settings

Step 3 - Click Connection and set timeout in seconds

• Click OK to save settings

Step 4 - Connect to FTP site 

• Open Site Manger. 
• Click on ‘New Site’ button. 
•  You need to change the Encryption to ‘Only use plain FTP (insecure)’ and Logon Type to ‘Normal’. Enter host address, user name and password and click the ‘Connect’ button.
