This article provides you with steps to update your PHP version via cPanel.
Step 1 - Login to cPanel

Step 2 - Click Select PHP Version under Software section.
Step 3 - Click on the dropdown arrow next to PHP Version to select a different version of PHP.
Step 4 - Click on Set as current to save the changes.
- This change will take effect immediately
- Should you have multiple domains / websites hosted on your cPanel package the PHP version will update for all of them.
INFO: We strongly recommended if you are running WordPress please check with your theme provider's website what version of PHP they require for your theme to work before making a global change such as this.
