This article provides you with steps to setp an appointment



Open the Bookings software


Click on the main menu located in the top-left corner and the left side panel will display. Choose 'Appointments' from this list as shown below.

Add a new service

As you can see above, services can be listed or unlisted. Your customers will only have access to book an unlisted service if you send them the service link.

 

Service type


Between the two options, choose 'Appointment'. This type of service allows your customers to book an available slot in your calendar at the time of their choosing.

Service details


Add a name to your service, a description, an image, and the duration. This basic information is mandatory to create your service.

Customer information document


Optionally, you can include a PDF document for the customer to download. When they receive the confirmation e-mail, this will contain a download button from which they can download the file.

Service delivery


You can deliver your services in 3 ways:

  • Online. The customer will make the booking and will receive a confirmation email with an URL to join the call.
  • Business location. For in-person meetings, your business location will be shown during the checkout process and will also be included in the confirmation email.
  • Other. This will be shown to your customers during checkout and it will be included in the confirmation email for their booking.

For all of the above, as the site owner, you will also receive a confirmation email. You can also check your calendar within the bookings software for the same information.

Visibility


A service can be Public or Unlisted. Unlisted services will not show up on the 'Services' page on your site, but customers can still book them if you send them the link to the service.

Payment


Aside from the basic service details, it is necessary to set up the payment so you can create this service.

You can choose between it being a free service, or take payment for it.

Scheduling


You can require your customers to book in advance for up to 24 hours; this way you can better organize your day.

A buffer time in between appointments can give you time to rest, or organize what you'll need for your next customer. The buffer time will be added to the total duration of the appointment.

Save and publish


You are done. Your new service will show up on the Services page and your customers will be able to book it.
